Continuity Vault Entry

CGP–NC Stack Relationship

Version: 1.0
Date: 2026-09-18
Author: Joel Monasterial
Classification: Continuity Geometry — Substrate Architecture
Status: Canon-ready (non‑contaminating)

1. Entry Summary

This entry establishes the canonical relationship between the Continuity Geometry Processor (CGP) and Neuromorphic Computing (NC). It clarifies that NC is a partial physical manifestation of CGP principles, while CGP is the substrate geometry that defines the rules NC must obey. They do not operate in separate domains; they operate in stacked layers, with CGP forming the base continuity substrate and NC occupying portions of the next physical AI layer.

2. Core Insight

Neuromorphic Computing is a manifestation of CGP —
but CGP is the substrate that encompasses NC.
CGP defines the geometry; NC implements portions of it.

This resolves the ambiguity between conceptual continuity geometry and physical spiking architectures.

3. Canon Distinction

CGP (Continuity Geometry Processor)

NC (Neuromorphic Computing)

CGP is the superset.
NC is the subset.

4. Stack Relationship

CGP and NC operate in layers, not parallel domains.

Layer 0 — CGP (Continuity Geometry Processor)

Defines the substrate physics:

Layer 1 — NC (Neuromorphic Computing)

Implements portions of CGP:

Layer 2 — Physical AI Systems

Layer 3 — Cognitive AI Systems

Layer 4 — Civilizational AI Systems

5. Invariant

A CGP can encompass NC, but NC cannot encompass CGP.
CGP defines the continuity geometry; NC expresses only portions of it in silicon.
